There is no fixed price for our Sahara tours: the price depends mainly on how many people are travelling and your tour dates. Here is what moves the price, and how booking and payment work with us.
Number of days and the route
The biggest factor is length. A 2-day trip from Marrakech to Merzouga covers a lot of road in little time; a 3- or 4-day tour adds stops such as Ait Ben Haddou, the Dades Valley and Todra Gorge, and every extra day adds a driver day and a night of accommodation.
Where you start and finish also matters. Fes and Errachidia are closer to the dunes than Marrakech, Casablanca or Tangier, so fewer days are needed to reach Merzouga.
Group size
On a private tour the vehicle and driver are shared only within your group, so the cost per person usually falls as more people travel together.
Camp and hotel level
You choose the comfort level, and it changes the quote more than most people expect.
- Standard desert camp with shared bathroom tents
- More comfortable camp with a private bathroom and hot shower
- Guesthouses, riads or hotels on the nights before and after the desert
- Extra nights in Merzouga or optional activities such as a 4x4 excursion or sandboarding
Season
Spring and autumn are the busiest periods, when good camps and riads fill early. Booking ahead gives you more choice at those times.
How the deposit and payment work
Every price is given on request, in writing, before you pay anything.
- A deposit of €100–€200 secures your dates, paid by PayPal
- The balance is normally paid in cash at the start of the tour
- Card payment is possible with a 5% fee
- The booking is confirmed once the deposit is received and your written itinerary is sent
- Free cancellation more than 20 days before departure; 50% of the deposit refunded at 10–20 days; non-refundable under 10 days
